The museum planning committee is responsible for overseeing and managing efforts to establish an oil and gas museum: adopting best planning practices from similar museums and applying best techniques of planning methodology.

Welcome to Alaska's Oil & Gas Historical Society
The Alaska Oil & Gas Historical Society (AKOGHS) is proud to present the Haul Road Exhibit, a tribute to one of Alaska's most significant engineering achievements. This exhibit chronicles the construction of the Dalton Highway, also known as the Haul Road, and highlights the remarkable story of how the 358-mile stretch from the Yukon River to Prudhoe Bay was built. Through historical photographs, documents, and artifacts, visitors will gain a deep appreciation for the dedication, labor, and vision that made this monumental project possible.
